Random Picker Wheel
Why choose WheelShuffle
More ways to choose, more freedom to customize, and a simpler way to spin.
Everything you need, included
Every theme, setting and tool is free to use — no subscriptions, no slice limits and no account required to spin.
Fairness you can understand
Each slice shows its exact chance of winning. Adjust weights when you want certain entries to come up more often.
Ready for classrooms and presentations
Classroom mode hides everything but the wheel and spin button, filling the screen so the whole room can follow along.
More than just a spin wheel
Roll dice, flip coins, split teams, run Secret Santa or start from dozens of ready-made wheels — all in one place.
Save, share and reuse your wheels
Save a wheel to your free account, send it as a link, or embed it on your own website to use again anytime.
Your wheels, on your devices
Your lists stay in your browser until you choose to save them. Install WheelShuffle as an app on phone or computer.
Is WheelShuffle truly random?
Every spin raises an interesting question: how does the wheel choose a result, and can you trust the outcome? The answer lies in random selection, probability, and the way the wheel works behind the scenes.
How Random Selection Works
Modern browsers provide crypto.getRandomValues(), which generates cryptographically strong random values. However, fair selection also depends on how those values are mapped to eligible entries. The selection method—not the animation alone—determines the result.
Can the Same Result Appear Twice?
Yes. Randomness doesn't mean every spin must produce a different result. The same name can be selected on consecutive spins, even when every eligible entry has an equal chance of winning.
How to Prevent Repeat Winners
Need a different winner each time? Remove the previous winner from the wheel before spinning again. With that entry excluded, the next selection comes from the remaining entries.
What Is WheelShuffle?
WheelShuffle is a free, web-based random decision maker designed to pick an item fairly from any list you provide. Whether you're choosing a name from a classroom roster, settling on dinner, dividing group tasks or picking a giveaway winner, the tool turns your list of choices into an interactive spinning wheel.
A wheel is useful when you already have several acceptable answers and don't want to keep debating them. It doesn't judge which option is best — you decide what belongs on the list, and the wheel supplies the outcome.
How Does WheelShuffle Work?
The process takes about a minute. You bring the list; the wheel does the rest.
- Enter your options. Replace the sample entries with your own, one per line. Remove blank rows and choices you can't actually use.
- Customize the wheel. Give it a title, pick readable colors and keep labels short. Adjust an entry's weight only if different chances are part of your rules.
- Spin. Press the Spin button and the wheel accelerates, slows down and stops on one entry. The result is read out so everyone can see it.
- Use the result. Read the winner, remove it if needed, and check the remaining list before the next spin.
Under the hood, the spin is calculated in your browser with crypto.getRandomValues(). That suits everyday choices, but it isn't independently audited, so it shouldn't be used for certified prize draws. With four equal options, the same entry winning twice in a row has a 1 in 16 chance — streaks happen.
Key Features of WheelShuffle
Start with your list, then tailor the draw to your needs.
- Custom entries. Paste a list, edit it any time, and the wheel rebuilds instantly.
- Entry weights. An option's share is its weight divided by the total — give Pasta weight 2 among three others at 1, and its share is 2/5.
- Remove winners. Take a result off the wheel manually or automatically, so everyone gets a turn without repeats.
- Look and sound. Change colors, themes and spin sounds. Decoration never affects which entry wins.
- Save and share. Signed-in users can save wheels, keep a spin history and share a wheel with others.
Common Ways to Use WheelShuffle
- Names. Pick a speaker, a volunteer or a presentation order. For repeated name draws, the wheel of names is the more focused tool, and the random team generator splits a whole group at once.
- Classroom activities. Spin between revision topics, writing prompts or discussion questions, and give students time to think before answering.
- Giveaways. Set eligibility, closing time and duplicate-entry rules before drawing, and keep personal contact details off-screen. A recording shows what viewers saw; it isn't an independent audit.
- Games. Choose challenges, forfeits or turn order — the truth or dare wheel comes ready to play.
- Everyday decisions. Filter dinner options first, then spin. With only two options, a coin flip is faster; for number ranges, use the random number generator.
